Development of information and communication tecnologies have affected profoundly people, sectors as well as disciplines briefly all areas of our lives. This change which comes into life “any time,  any place and every in way” can also be explained as IT.

Undoubtedly, one of the areas which is the most affected by developments in informational technology is economy.

Some of the effects are the dramatic increase in capital flows between countries, the acceleration of global economic integration, the world’s financial market becoming active, the occurrence of new payment systems, developments in business organization and processes, reduced information and transaction costs, increased volatility in financial markets and potential growth rate as well as productivity.

Only have a professional knowledge is no longer sufficient to be a successful individual in information society that emerges from developments of information and communication technology. In addition, many qualifications are necessary such as access to information; analyzing, interpreting, evaluating of the accessible information; to be developing of solution; having foreign language to communicate and to follow developments in their discipline; using information and communication technology; having multi-skills and lifelong learning.

Gumushane University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Science, makes effort to give students to multiple competencies which is necessary for information society. In this context, Faculty has improved young as well as dynamic academic staff and course program. Moreover, international and national exchange programs such as Erasmus and Farabi are applied effectively. Besides, physical and social facilities have been developed rapidly.
